In Gårda - in Gothenburg's old textile workers' and factory district - the idea was born to resume the proud hat production that once characterized the area, when Scots, Dutch and English businessmen and skilled craftsmen came to characterize manufacturing and production just over a century ago, in this part of town. It is no longer possible to produce the hats in central Gothenburg, as it was a couple of centuries ago, but we can and do let ourselves be inspired, fascinated and captivated by the design and innovation in the vibrant craftsmanship that characterized the area then. And take it with us when, today, 200 years later, we visit our friends and producers of authentic Panama hats far away in the West - in South American Ecuador - or to the boundlessly artistic Japan in the far East. We want EVERYONE - just like in Gårda in the 1800s and 1900s - to be able to wear modern, unique, innovative hats at a really good price. Created on the same premises as when people from different parts of Europe came to meet in Gothenburg a couple of hundred years ago.
